Roll the snowball
October 23rd, 2006
Enough discussion and do something! It seems that we can all get involved in protracted discussions and meetings about an idea but never get going with actually working on it. Anyone else have this problem?
Once you’ve started you need to keep the momentum going. One of the sayings here at Technovated is “Roll the snowball” which stresses the need to get going and build some momentum. I suppose this is similar to rolling a snowball into a big ball or a rolling snowball going down a hill getting bigger and bigger. Ok so it’s not the best analogy but it does the job
I was reading in Daily Goodness - ‘Just go ahead’ a similar point.
So stop procrastinating and start that idea!

I’m sure everyone involved in the online world experiances this. I know I certainly do. My computer seems to be full of half finished projects.
The problem is, when I think of an idea I get excited about it and get cracking on it. Then I think of another idea and get cracking on that. Before long, I have too many projects on the go to finish any of them! I just need to concentrate on one or two at a time!

Roll the snowball is a good metaphor - don’t try and roll it uphill if you can help it and get someone to assist you to work round or over the obstacles… Just the tonic for reflective-observer types like me.
Great blog by the way - You got 2 comments and the original blogger didn’t get any. Maybe black isn’t a good colour for a blog.
